Chapter 4: The Little Flower
The weather seems good today, the
sky is clear and the sun shows its beautiful brilliance. I am so excited to
walk outside the field with my little flower. I wear my slippers, comb my hair
and look myself in the mirror. The mirror reflects its character and shows me
his beautiful smile. When things are now settled, I hold my little flower’s
right hand; we step out together in happiness and excitement. We are both
excited to see the sun. I let go of her hands as we reached the place and let
her wave with the wind. As she walks through the grassy field of where we are
standing, I am just at a distance where I can only reach her with my sight. She
looks very lovely and lively; white skin, pinkish lips and teary eyes make the
totality of the bliss of her presence. I feel comforted every time I see her.
She is my little flower that makes my day. While playing with the dragon flies,
a snake suddenly comes out behind her from the grass and bites her left lower
leg. I am shocked when I saw my little flower was bitten by the snake. I do not
know what to do. My muscles compressed and I feel the difficulty of breathing
and I cannot able to move until I see her falling on the ground. I run to her
with tears, hold her back and tell her if she is all right. She doesn’t speak
and she only looks at me. The longer she stares at me with no words to hear
from her, the more I am being terrified to what will happen next. Her muscles
started to turn into stone and her eyes never get to close again and when I
touch her chest, it never dances again. The tears from my eyes started to flow
and never stops until evening came. The people seek and find us; they found us
and came in great number. I am still in great desolation when I heard one of
the crowd said that I murder my sister.
It was six months ago since the
last time I see my little flower. Mom and dad knew that it was a snake bite
that killed my sister. Dad knows and understands that it was only an accident
but the pain is still scratching his heart as he remembers Beverly. Things are
getting tougher and tougher. Since the day Beverly died, mom and dad are
getting worst with their relationship. I feel that I was the one who killed my
sister. I never thought that everything will come this way. I know I can never
change history and the only thing that I can do for now is to accept the
present and live for it. I wake up early in the morning to prepare my things
for school. Why is it I am much excited to go to school than to stay here? I
feel no place here as if I do not belong here and I am only a stranger. When I
get to the school and found the room, I see that my classmates are intensely
looking at me and it was so strange that they are all look pale. The ground
suddenly shakes and the room becomes darker and darker so I turn behind to run
away through the door but I saw a woman standing in front of it. She is so tall
to look at; her skin is brown, short hair and blazing eyes.
Tragic. But written superbly. :)
